We believe in:

 

 The Godhead:-

  1. The only one living, eternal and true God Gen (21:33, Josh 3:10, Jer 10:10, Deut 33:27)
  2. Three distinct persons in this one God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit who are equal and eternal (Matt 3:16-17, Matt 28:19, John 10:30, Acts 5:3-4, 2 Cor 13:14)
  3. The Sovereignty of God in creating and upholding all things, revealing Himself to mankind and acting in Jesus Christ to redeem, restore and judge (Gen 1 &  2, Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah 40:12-28, Col 1:15-20, John 5:20-23, Acts 17:31-32)

 

Jesus Christ:-

  1. The eternal deity and sinless humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3; 14, 17:5, Hebrews 1:8, 4:14-15, John 1:1-2)
  2.  His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His birth of the Virgin Mary (Matt 1:18-21)
  3. His death in our place as the only perfect sacrifice for sin offered once-for-all (1 John 2:2, Heb 7:26-27, 1 Tim 2:5, 1 Peter 3:18)
  4.  His bodily resurrection and ascension (Luke 24:36-43, John 20:17; 26-28, Luke 24:50-51, Acts 1:9-11)
  5.  His unique position as the only mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5)
  6.  His final return in glory (Acts 1:11, 1 Thess 4:1305:10, Rev 19:11-16; 20:1-6)

 

Holy Spirit:-

  1. The work of the Holy spirit in the enlightenment, recreation and sanctification of men.  (John 3:5-8; 16:7-15)
  2. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit from the moment of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and the simultaneous inclusion by the Holy Spirit of every true believer into the body of Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Cor 12:13)
  3.  The empowering of the believer by the Holy Spirit for witness and the spiritual gifting of believers according to His will for the building up of the Church. (Acts 1:8, 1Cor 12:7-11, Eph 4:-16)
  4.  The obligation of every believer is to be filled with and to live by the Spirit (Eph 5:18)

 

 The Holy Scriptures (The Bible):-

The divine inspiration and authority of the sixty six books of the Old and New Testaments, as originally given, expressing the mind of God for the whole of life and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct (Ps 19:7-11, Matt 5:17-18, John 17:17, 1Cor 2:13, 1Thess 2:13, 2Tim 3:15-16, Heb 4:12, 2Peter 1:19-21)

 

Man:-

  1. Created in the image of God (Gen 1:27)
  2.  The sinfulness and guilt of fallen man, making him subject to the anger and condemnation of God (Isaiah 53:6, Isaiah 59:2, Romans 3:10-20, Romans 5:12-19, Eph 2:1-5 & 12)
  3. The necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit, and of repentance, faith and a life of practical holiness ( John 1:12-13, 3:3-8, Romans 5:6-216:23, Eph 1:42:8-9Titus 3:4-71 Peter 1:15-16)

 

 Satan (The Devil)

Is an angelic being, the author of sin, and the cause of the fall; that he is the open declared enemy of God and mankind; and that he will be eternally punished in the lake of fire. (Gen 3:1-3, 2 Cor 11:14, 1 Peter 5:8-9, Rev 20:10)

 

Salvation:-

  1. Justification by the grace of God through faith alone in Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:21-31, Eph 2:8-9)
  2.  Salvation as the present experience of the forgiveness of sins, peace with God, joy in the Holy Spirit and the certainty of eternal life. (Romans 5:1, Eph. 1:7-8, 13)
  3.  The bodily resurrection and judgement of all men. (1Cor 15:35-54, 1Thess. 4:13-18, 2Thess. 1:5-10, 2Tim 4:1,)
  4.  The eternal joy and fulfillment of the saved and the eternal condemnation of the lost. (Ps. 16:11, Romans 5:1-5, 6:21-23, 2Thess. 1:8-10, 1Peter 1:3-6, Rev 20:15, 21 6-8)

 

The Church:-

  1. The one true Church, the body of Christ of which He alone is the Head, comprising all in every place that trusts in Him alone for salvation.(1 Cor 1:2,12:13, Gal 3;26, 28, Eph. 1:22-23, 5:21-32, 1Tim 3:15)
  2. The local Church, under the Leadership and Government of a plurality of Elders (Acts 13:1-3, 14:23, 27, 20:28-31, Titus 1:5, Heb 13:7,17,24, 1Peter 5:1-3)

 

The Ordinances:-

  1. The only two ordinances given to us in Scripture:

i.     Baptism of believers by immersion (Acts 2:38 & 41, Acts 8:36-40, Acts 16:33-34, Romans          6:1-4, 1Cor 1:13-17, Eph 4:5)

ii.    The Lord’s Supper (Luke 22:17-21, 1Cor 11:23-26)
